I am trying to find any details of William Brown who was a chief engineer in the British Merchant Navy, sailing between Liverpool, UK and Georgetown, Guyana during the period of the first world war, 1914-1918. I don't know the name of his ship or what exactly the role of the British Merchant Navy was during this period. He and his wife, Elizabeth, lived in Guyana at sometime but am not sure if this was before or after the war. I'd be grateful for any information or suggestions. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
