My query is twofold. To begin with,I am trying to research my Lamothe family line, and was wondering if anyone else was working on the same group. I cannot seem to get beyond my Greatgrandfather, Richard Lamotte, who died in Springfield Ma in 1937. He was married to a Melissa "Nellie" Plante or Laplante. They had between 9-11 children. I believe them to have come to MA from Quebec via Vt. Secondly,I am searching for children of my father's brother, Gilbert Lamothe(Lamotte). He had 2 daughters that I know of, Donna and Judy who I believe were born in Maine. Donna is around age 59/60 and Judy is in her mid 50's. I believe thier mother was a Gladys Riendeau, from Maine. If Gilbert is still alive, he would be in his 90's. He was born in Vermont. Our grandfather was Ernest, married to Bertha Gosselin.
