Leonard Lumpkin Cooper, married Mary Anderson in 1848 in Stewart County, GA. Fought for the South in the Civil War. Died on the way home from Camp Morton, IA, prison camp in 1865. I know about his descendents, but know hardly anything about his ancestors. Had a brother named John or A. J. They both lived in Henry County, AL in the 1850's. Seems to have had land in Meigs County, Ohio. Was rumored to be Cherokee/Choctaw Indian, at least half. Can anyone help? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
