I need the help of those on my Jones line that for me began in Burning Springs, Clay County, Kentucky in 1899. My mother's parents were LEE JONES (1873-1950) AND MARY FRANCES McCREARY (1870-1946). I HAVE BEEN ABLE, ALONG WITH COUSINS, TO TRACE THE ANCESTRY TO VINSON JONES, WHO WAS BORN IN 1745 IN VIRGINIA (PROBABLY BRUNSWICK COUNTY OR ANY CONTIGUOUS COUNTY ON THE NORTH CAROLINA BORDER. VINSON JONES WENT TO ASHE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA AND SETTLED ON A FORK OF THE NEW RIVER; HIS WIFE WAS ELIZABETH COPE. I BELIEVE THEIR MUST HAVE BEEN TWO WITH THE SAME NAME, I.E.
