Searching for birthmother Eileen C. Pettke. Gave birth to me in Oaklawn, Ill. on November 24, 1962. The doctor's name was Walter Gingold from Hometown, Ill. The lawyer handling the adoption was Basil N. Pyshos from 11 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago, Ill. I was adopted by a Chicago policeman and his wife; Jesse and Eleanor Buttry, who lived in Chicago. The adoption decree was entered June 19, 1963 in Cook County with Judge Fred W. Reither as acting judge. My adopted parents never allowed me to have any information about my adoption "none of my business.." and yesterday, for the first time, I learned my birth mothers name while going through old papers in a safe. I have a brother who was also adopted before me (1961), but is no relation to me. My adopted mother has multiple sclerosis for the last 17 years and at one point told me I had brothers and sisters - that my birth parents couldn't take on another child...but later told me that she never said this, that she has no information at all, not even the hospital I was born in. My adopted father says to this day it is none of my business. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
