Andrew Jackson KINGSTON (1870-1935) and his wife, Catherine West POTTS (1872-1955), were both born in Philadelphia, PA. They moved in the early 1900's to Scranton, PA (possibly Larch St in Dunmore). They were the parents of 11 children, one of whom (Violet Kingston, a child of only 3) died during the time they lived in Scranton. She is buried in a cemetery in Dunmore. Would like to find the cemetery where Violet is buried. Other names associated with this family are: Donahue, Black, Wright, Thompson, Potts, Shaffer, West, Cuslik, Shone, in the earlier generations dating back to 1860 in Philadelphia where members of the family are buried at Fernwood Cemetery. More recent generations include surnames: Place, Lane, Sickler, Smith, Mock, Giberson, Goble, Hoover, Teese, Engram or Ingram, Medcalf, and Luttman. The family came to live in Wyoming County, PA by the 1920's and many desendants still remain there today. Would like to connect with anyone doing research on these POTTS OR KINGSTON OR DONAHUE LINES. The 1860 census shows Lucius Kingston (Louis on the census) and his wife, Sara Donahue Kingston, they are the parents of Andrew Jackson Kingston, living in Philadelphia. Their children include Gertrude Kingston, Josephine Kingston, Mary B. Kingston, and Andrew Kingston. The 1880 census of Philadelphia shows Amanda Potts, the mother of Catherine West Potts Kingston, living in Philadelphia. Her children include: Pauline Potts, Charles Potts, Florence Potts, and Catherine (Katie) Potts later Kingston.
