Adoptee searching,for birth dad, in non-idenifying info. Opal knew him for about two yr.s he was the youngest in his family, and at 26 yr.s old in 1958, so he would be 77 now. his name and company he worked for is whited out as usually. on 07/25/26209 spoke with my birth sister and brother for the first time ever, and a cousin (Sandy),that contacted my silblings we talked for about 2 hours the first time, going to meet them in Aug. 2009 they live out from Macon, Ga. my hometown. Wanda my sister did not know anything about me. Only two people knew about the adoption. Mom was one of 13 of which 6 where 3 sets of twins, I have about 60 cuz's, what a trip, I never thought this day would come. of 07/10/09 I was given my birthmoms name,(Ga. law after died of birth parent), Opal Alene Couch-Sears(Grimes), for she died on 07/04/09 in a car wreak in Jeffersonville, In. She was lay to rest on July 11, 2009 Macon, Ga. at Snow Hill Cemetery. She was the daugther of the late Walter Grimes and the late Elizabeth Ryals Grimes. She was born in Alamo, Ga. on October 12, 1933. Mrs. Couch was a private duty LPN. Mrs. Couch is surived by her husband, J Lamar Couch of Jeffersonville, IN. daugther, Wanda A. Shoemaker(Sears), of Byron, Ga.: sons, Greg C.Sears of Perry Fla.moving back to Ga., Craig L. Couch,of Bonaire, Ga. and James D. Couch of Centrville, Ga.. /sisters, Eula Britt of Jacksonville, Fla., Beulah Anderson and Verbia Asbell, both of Macon, Ga. 11 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. This is what I had know: two silbings born before me (dob 05/06/1958, amd, birthmom, her name was Sears in 1958-59, the Ga.adoption reunion registry, made contact with her in Nov.2005 to where she has my name, address, email, and phone number, so far no contact from her, she told the garr that her family knowns nothing about me. My file at ga. indicate that my adoption was an independent adoption that was not handle by an agency. Their are not any non-identifying background or medical information, the reason for my search for over 29 years to which I stop in 2001, (This information was lost due to mirco-filmer missed the information and was left out of my file) to which I was restry at the garr since 1990 when it was first started. I was adopted by Mr.Herbert Lamar Lowery and Etter Mac (Sheppard), Lowery in Bibb County, Macon, Ga. paper work final adoption 1959, which both worked at Warner Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Ga. about 20 muitues from Macon, Ga. where we lived on Massey Rd. where I was raised until adopted mom died, and then a-dad remarried to Frances Oneal Lowery, for me and my adopted brother had to go infront of a blind jugde for the courts where going to take us away for we where wild in the neighod, so he got married, to where we moved to valley ct, Macon, Ga. and I moved out at 17 yr.s of age. Judge Oscar L. Long signed the final adoption, Mrs. Helen W. Wynn was the child welfare consultant, and somehow the paperwork was lost or not refine for study, the hearing was scheduled for 07/28/58 but was changed due to this. The paper work explains that the adoption consultant visited the lowerys an asked them how they obtainded the child wom thay have, they stated that someone whom they knew this girl that was going to have this child and knew that she was not married and wanted to make plans for the child.they paid for her doctors's bill 190.00 and her hospital bills 115.00 and spend 20.00 on medicine. she started that she could not affoir another child (two childern) she was receiveing 20.00 per week from her ex-husband as she was working as a cashier. I was released at one day old., release from mother for I was born out of wedlock,
