Jane Haughie was born about 1823 in Edinburgh. Parents John Haughie and Ann or Agnes Scott. There was at least one brother, John. Jane was found guilty in Edinburgh High Court and transported in 1844 for 7 years to Van Diemens Land/ Tasmania. Records show that in 1848 she married Andrew Benny in Launceston and a daughter, Agnes, was born in Launceston in 1851. I have no information after that date. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
