Searching for information on Lawrence MILES, born Co Louth about 1830. Arrived in NYC May 18, 1847 listed as MILLS with other family members, James, Christopher & John. Lawrence went directly to Waterloo, Seneca Co. NY & lived with sister Ann & her husband, Jer. CRONIN. He married Maria MAHON in 1863. Lawrence was a piano and organ tuner & later was a partner in an organ and piano manufacturing firm. It would seem that he came to the US with some training in organ & piano tuning.
