I am looking for help tracing Sarah Jane Hayter born about 1883. who had a daughter called ALice Louisa Hayter in 1897 at Ashford hill Kingsclere. Alice was a boarder from the age of three months to marrying age when she married Charles Lovelock with a monthly nurse and her family Joseph and Mary Butler. Sarah Jane her mother would have been about 15 when she gave birth and not married. she is reputedly a Daughter of a Lady Hayter who died in 1929. Sarah we think went home after her birth crime but may have died in a fire at her home a while after, still a child at South Hill Park in Easthampstead. If anyone has these people on their trees or knows where Sarah is buried or has any record what so ever i would be grateful. we need the evidence to back our theory up. As this gentry family seemingly have left no trace of the children they had who died in a fire except in ghost stories. Sarah may have been the daughter of Baron Arthur Divett hayter and his wife henrietta Hope. later known as Baroness Haversham. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
