My great-grandfather's name was Alfred Magee Wilson. I was always curious about the middle name and have always felt it was probably a family name for a couple of generations back. Now I find that my great-grandfather's grandmother had a brother with the name William Magee Lippitt. This basically confirms my suspicions. However, I've never been able to connect either the Wilson or Lippitt family to any branch of the Magee family? William Magee Lippitt was born on Dec 8, 1799 in Providence, RI and died on Feb 1, 1818 in Providence. The Wilson's also were from Providence.
