I am seeking contact with anyone from the village of Tynan, Armagh, Ireland - particularly anyone who may know of these two family names: Balmer and Johnston. We know that our ancestor John Balmer was baptised in the parish church, and subsequently joined the army and died in New Zealand. He is presumed to have married any variation of the follow names: Elizabeth or Catherine or Mary Johnston/Johnson. We can find no information about her - perhaps there is some family members still living in Tynan descendents from either the Balmer or Johnston families that can help us.
