I am wanting to connect with descendants of my great uncle, Niels C. Nielson. Other than some names, dates, and places, I know very little about this man or either of his families. Data I have includes: Niels Nielson Birth: 17 Aug 1842 at Spentrup, Randers, Denmark. Died: 11 Sep 1902 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Married to first wife,Ane Cathrine Swendsen: 06 Dec 1873 at Spentrup, Randers, Denmark. She was born: 15 May 1846 at Hou, Mariager, Randers, Denmark and died: 16 Sep 1880 at Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah. Children within this marriage are 1) Ane Cathrine -Birth: 29 May 1875. Married: Lee W. Deuel on 24 Dec 1898 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. this couplelived in Laramie, Albany, Wyoming. 2) Niels Christen Birth: 20 Sep 1877. Died in 1883. 3) Katherine Josephine -Married: Oscar Cross at Ogden, Weber, Utah on 22 Aug 1904. After Ane Cathrine's death, Niels married Sophia Olsen on 21 May 1881 at Ephraim, Sanpete, Utah. She was born 21 May 1846 at Oppedal, Trøndhjem, Norway. She died on 26 Aug 1936 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Children of this marriage were: 1) Berthe Marie: born 22 Mar 1882 (twin); died: 20 Jun 1883. 2) Oline Brighamine (Helen) b. 22 Mar 1882 (twin). Married: John Nelson. The couple lived in Seattle. 3) Augusta Charlotte b. 21 Aug 1883. Married: 28 Oct 1908 to Ernest Burton who died 08 Dec 1937. 4) Clara Jacobia b. 30 Apr 1886. Married: about 1909 to Henry Payson Strong of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Thank you.
