Looking for any information about Walter Hunter Stewart's family. He was born at Cat Point in Westmoreland County, Virginia in 1843 to Thomas and Sophia or Susan King Stewart. She evidently died soon after he was born and he lived with William King in King George County in 1850. He had a brother George Thomas Stewart and a sister Virginia Ann Stewart who were living with their father in Washington Parish, Westmoreland County, Virginia in 1850. Thomas and Susan were married in Essex County, Virginia in 1831 with George King as second. Thomas King died in 1854. Walter's nickname was "Spottswood" and he served in the 55th Virginia Infantry. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
