Query Text: |
I found my great-grandfather on the 1880 Census of Cobb County, Georgia. He was shown as "H.T.Jamison ;( born in 1864),. age 16; born South Carolina; Father born North Carolina and mother born South Carolina. He was listed as a step-son in the home of James M. Pate, and his mother, Mary __Jamison Pate was listed as the wife of Pate. I seek any Jamison family of North Carolina who had a son who married a young woman whose first name was Mary. I believe this young man died in the Civil War, around 1864, the date of H.T.'s birth- probably in Virginia, somewhere. Mary _ Jamison married in 1874 in Georgia to Mr. Pate where they are on the 1880 census then the entire family disappeared. Any help tracing them will be appreciated and I will share data I have. Thank you, Anne | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
