Query Text:

I am searching for the father of Richard German Sims, DOB: 25 Mar 1822. The family moved from South Carolina to Benton County, Alabama, prior to 1830. The father was born about 1780. He is listed on some family trees as "Father A". He had a younger son, R.B. Sims. Some research indicates his name was John S. (Sanders) Sims, but there were several by that name from Union County, SC. Question: Which John S. Sims moved to Benton or Cheerokee County, Alabama, prior to 1830. Was it the son of Reuben Sims and Nancy Sanders (Saunders)? What is the resource for verification?
