Edna Dunlap, New Albany, MS. I was born 9-2-1946 in New Albany. Adopted through the Miss. Children's Home by John & Oneita Langford, who were with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Sandersville, MS at that time. I am searching for any one who knows more about my birth on 9-2-1946. She put my father was unknown. She lived at Potts Camp out of New Albany, and fairly straight rumor has it that she was dating a man who was drafted, followed him to Memphis for the general induction, returned home pregnant and I was born at the New Albany Hospital. I do not know if he ever knew. She was from the "wrong side of the tracks" from what I have been told. That doesn't matter. Somebody has got to know who my birth father is. I was given the birth name Eugenia which leads me to suspect his name was Eugene. He was with the military base there in New Albany I guess. About 5-6 years ago she was still living and fairly healthy. She never married. I have four grandchildren and don't know what is inherited from my side of the family. As all adoptees know, there is always something missing no matter how good your life is.
