I am trying to locate the birthplace of my gggrandfather, Jose Silva. He was born in Cape Verde around 1825 and ended up in Kaneohe, Hawaii around 1848-1860. He was a whaler. Don't have any more information about him before coming to Hawaii. Thanks.
