Hello: Israel Moore Rushton (a house contractor), his wife Anne and daughter Mabel G. were living in New York State in the early 1800s. Then I found an Israel L. (sic) Rushton, Anne and Mabel living in King County (Seattle), Washington, in 1892. Does anybody know when the family left New York; why they chose to move to the opposite side of the continent; and by what mode of transportation they traveled? Is it possible that before settling in the Seattle area that the Rushton family lived in another locale? For instance, Montana where, in the 1880s, construction was in full bloom due to the opening of mines, building of mills and smelters, and the coming of the railroads. Thanks, Jane | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
