Would like to hear from anyone researching PICKENS family. Tradition has a JOHN PICKENS, born ca 1818 NC, (probably a son of ALEXANDER PICKENS). Alexander was married to MARGARET MCLARTY in Cabarrus Co. NC, moved to Bedford Co. Tenn. late 1820s or early 1830s. JOHN's wife is reported to be SUSAN CURRIE. Is there a marriage record for them? He was reported to be Presbyterian minister.
