I am attempting to find out additional information about my ancestor, Johannes Sechler, born in the 1700's likely in Transylvania, Romania, and immigrated to the USA in the died in Goshenhoppen, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. His wife, Anna Marie Maurer, was likely born in Germany and died in Montgomery County, PA. I am most interested in finding out more aspects of Johannes Sechlers life in Europe, where exactly he was born, background, profession, etc. It is suggested he was born in what is now the Saxon villages of Transylvania.
