I am lookin for my Birth parents and two half brothers. My twin sister and I were born 10/20/1964 in St. Louis, MO or the surrounding area. We were told that our b. mom was from Kansas City, MO. I beleive that we were born in Kansas City, but placed for adoption w/ Cath. Charit. in St. Louis. Our birth names given were Melissa and Melinda. I am not sure of the last name - either O'Heron or O'Hara, something like that - Irish sounding. We were only a few weeks old when adopted ( I think about 9 wks.)I know that we are are of mainly Irish descent from our b. mom's side and some German w/ Irish from our birth fathers side. We were adopted through Catholic Charities. We were told that our b. father was in the publishing business and was estranged from his wife with whom he had 2 sons (my 2 half broth's.),said to be at around the teenage years at that time. Our b. mom became pregnant with us and the b. dad left her. Then her mother and a sister if correct brought our b. mom to Cathol. Char. to give birth so no one else would know. My sister and I were placed together thank God which is something that would be unique for adoptions in 1964 and may help in this search. My sis & I did receive general info. when we turned 21yrs. old that our b. mom had contacted Cath. Charit. and was told that we were placed together which she in turn told them "was a piece of mind she had not had in 21 yrs. and that she had never married or had any more children at that time. As well that she had an immune problem." She also stated that she wanted to keep us, but did not think that it would be fair to us trying to raise us as a single mother in that time with the social stigmas that exsisted. My sis & I are of medium build both with bright blue eyes. My sister and I are fraternal twins so we resemble eachother greatly but do not look just alike.I have dark brown hair & my sis has dark blonde to light brown hair. We both have a fair complextion. When we were infants our hair was very red/strawberry. We were also told that our b.mother had an above average intelligence, worked in office managment and enjoyed classical music and art. Also, our b. mom was in her mid-late 20's and our b. dad was in his late 20's - early 30. Well I hope some of this rings a bell with someone out there. I would love to hear from anyone that has any knowledge of my b. mom, b. dad, or 2 half brothers. Thanks! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
