I am trying to verify a death certificate of James Buford Tatum as my biological grandfather. According to the death certificate, he was born in Polk County, Texas on August 3, 1891. He died in Tyler County, Texas on March 14, 1968. His father was named Ace Tatum and his mother was Allie Powell. He had a son named A. J. Tatum. He was a retired oil field worker. My mother was born in Hodge Louisiana on June 22, 1922. Her mother was Almeda Adeline Guthrie, the wife of James Buford Tatum. I am looking for descendents that might give me additional information.
