I am Kent Ito, 18 years old, recently graduated from high school and presently residing in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. My father's name is Toshio Mitue Ito and one of his daughter's name (my halfsister) is Miyuki Ito. He has lived for sometime here in the Philippines as a businessman when he met my mother Josephine Pulanco. Their union in 1988 bore two children, myself and my brother George, who just turned 18 years old. Unfortunately, they separated in 1999 because of a third party. That was the last time I saw my father. I was then 11 years old. He came back to see us in 2003 with the intention to bring us with him. I was in school that time so I had no chance to see him myself. Instead, he and my mother met and my father was immediately discouraged upon seeing my mother pregnant with her Filipino lover's second child. At first, my mother gave him permission to bring us with him. But then, my mother suddenly changed her decision and instead, told him to just send to her the monetary support for us his children. My father did not buy the idea, fearing that his support for us would be spent on the other family and not directly benefit us. Now that I am of legal age, I am desperately seeking my father to be reunited with him, and be able to go to Japan so I could support my younger brother George. I am living with my mother's family friend right now, since I can hardly focus on my plans for the future living with my mother's family of 7 children. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
