I am looking for ancestors to Davis Canning born in Wiltshire 1791 and died in 1851 Ogbourne St Andrew, Wiltshire, England. I think his father was Thomas. Plus any siblings, wife, parents etc. His second son John Davis born 1822, Manor House, Ogbourne, St Andrew, Wiltshire came to NZ on the "Cornwall" in 1851. He died 20 Sep 1883 and is buried at Ogbourne St Andrew, Wiltshire, England. His wife was Elspeth Mary McQueen. John Davis had a brother Davis who also came to NZ and was killed during the Maori Wars. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a "gap" in the family history and can't directly relate the different Canning families together. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
