My mother and i are trying to locate her father. His name : Melville Royce Sherwood Born in : New Brighton. He was a motor engineer in the airforce. He was married at the age of 23 to Frances Catherine Johnstone (my nanna) on the 17th July 1940. They had two children, the only surviving child is my mother : Anita Margaret Saunders. At the time of Melville and Frances' divorce, he was in Auckland or Wellington (mum was just a baby), and this is all i know. We're presuming he has passed on, however, mum has always wondered who he was, whether he remarried, and if she has any half siblings floating around somewhere.
