I am looking for Jefferson Smith and his wife Barbara Brown who were in Smith County, MS around 1860. They had a daughter named Laura Smith who married Fredrick Stewart August 29, 1878 in Scott Co., MS. Fredrick and Laura are both buried in Scott Co., MS and the newpaper obit said her father was Jefferson Smith and her mother Barbara Brown and she had a living brother named C. L. Smith who lived in Texas.
