I am looking for my grandfather's family members or their descendants. My grandfather was named (Joe)Robert Lee Pettigrew. Possibly born between 1870 to 1885 in or around Brownsville Tn. and/or Jackson Tn. or maybe Indian Mound Tn. He married a woman named Elizabeth in the early 1900 (around 1912 to 1920). They had 3 sons named; Willie Curtis, Joe Allen, and RS. They were born between 1915 - 1920 in Brownsville, Tn. Willie Curtis died of a gun shot wound in 1952 or 1957. Joe Allen died from a train accident in 1952 or 1957. RS was born in 1915 in Brownsville Tn. and later moved to Indianapolis and there he died from complication of cancer in 1983. Before RS moved to Indianapolis, he had 3 other children in Brownsville Tn.; Willie Eilliot, who might have moved to the Detroit area, Louise, and Mary Jean who might be still alive and living in Brownsville. My grandfather had 7 or 8 brothers and sisters named; Dan (possible nickname for Daniel), Crockett (possible nickname), Les (possible nickname for Leslie or Lester), Jim (possible nickname for James), Mary, Nancy, Margaret, and Magruta Lucille, who were probably born between 1855 - 1880. The brothers and sisters might have moved to other parts of Tn. and/or nearby states (below). My grandfather later came to Ky. and met my grandmother only after his 1st wife, Elizabeth died in the early 1920s. If there is anybody that might know these people or someone that might be a descendant of them, or if some of them sound familiar, please contact me.
