I am looking for any information regarding the family history of John William Hestand and Ella Nova Francis (Means) Hestand, my grandparents. Residence at time of death was in Kiowa County, Okla., I have reason to believe they came to Oklahoma from Texas. I know John William Hestand was part Indian and I would like to know his history. I would like to know which Tribe, if this is true. I would like to know their (Tribe)language, etc. I do not have any records, just stories as a child. I do know John had a sister named Mary Hestand Cain.
