Do you know of a link between these surnames in Yorkshire: Pemberton, Pearson, and Clarenborn? James Pemberton Pearson (1880ish-1939) was one of five brothers (one was called Ralph, another was called George, the other two were killed in WWI). He didn't know where his middle name 'Pemberton' came from - but he gave it as a middle name to all of his sons. He married Mary Clarenborn (known as Mrs. Roberts because she worked as a servant in the Roberts household). All their daughters were given the middle name 'Clarenborn'. I want to find out where these middle names, Pemberton and Clarenborn (or Clarenburn?) came from. ALso: I know little about the Clareborn surname, it is extremely uncommon so maybe it is a misspelling - I would really appreciate any information about it. Thank you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
