Query Text: |
I am seeking information on the Scurr family who have lived in the Yorkshire/Durham region since at least the 1600's. The earliest ancestor I can date to is William Scurr (probably born between 1640-1670). He was buried 29/01/1711 in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. His son Richard Scurr was christened on 11/08/1687 in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. He died or was buried on 13/12/1752 in Felixkirk, North Yorkshire. Richard Scurr's son is John Scurr, born 11/11/1712, and christened 09/12/1712 Felixkirk, North Yorkshire. He married Frances Stillington on 12/10/1736 in Felixkirk. He was buried 9 Aug 1787 in Felixkirk. I would really appreciate any information that you might have, including other siblings, or spouses, or parents of the ancestors I mentioned. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
