I am looking for information on William P.J. Taaffe (ca. 1836-1901), born in Dublin, the son of Francis Taaffe. He apparently studied in Trinity College and emigrated to New York probably in the late 1850's or in the 1860īs. He became a quite prosperous dealer in drygoods, and married in New York, in 1870, to Anna Dixon, from Downpatrick, Co. Down, the daugher of William Dixon. Would like to know his motherīs maiden name and locate his father, Francis, in the Taaffe family tree. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
