My father SIGURD HANSEN, born 10 November 1938 in South Africa, passed away recently. I am trying to trace any records re his parents. They emigrated to South Africa between 1920 and the year my father was born. I'm basically looking for a needle in a haystack. I only know that my grandfather's name was OLAF HANSEN, I have no birthdate, but believe it was in OSLO. He came to South Africa as a briedge builder and was staying in George in the Cape Province of SA. He had 4 children - FERDIE HANSEN, GOTHARD HANSEN, SIGURD HANSEN AND OTHELIA HANSEN (of which all are in South Africa). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
