Need help in sorting out the early Snider brothers in Ancaster and Bartown Township, Wentworth Co, Ontario during the period 1800-1820. Michael Snider, born 1751 Maryland was in these early townships by about 1784; He and Catherine Russel Snider had 7 children: Jacob, David, John E., Frederick G.,Catherine, Elizabeth & Savilla. Michael's daughter Savilla b. 1789 married a Jacob Snider b. 1782 ALSO in Maryland. (accdy to Annals of the 40); Crowell Smith papers state Savilla married a Mr. Shaw first, and this Jacob Snider second. Jacob Snider and Savilla moved to Dumfries, Brant Co and some of their children were born in Trafalgar Twp, Halton Co. I am attempting to find out who Jacob Snider's father was and what relationship Jacob's father had to Michael Snider. Very confusing as all names appear again and again in these male Snider lines. Does anyone have records of a brother or other Snider male born in the 1790's in Maryland who then comes WITH MICHAEL into Ancaster and Barton Twp. in Wentworth Co, Canada after the Rev. War?
