I have found a crew list which contains an ancestor: Peter Nelson. According to the ship papers he became ill and was left at the hospital in Demerara. The ship was the TORONTO and the time frame was mid 1871. Would there be records available for the hospital, or, of any ship that he may have sailed on once he recovered.
