My name is Nancy and I was born April 5, 1967 in Chitose (Sapporro) Hokkaido, Japan. Birth mother's name is Yasuko Nishida (Japanese citizen). No info on who my birth father was. He may have been a military member stationed in Japan & may have been deployed to Vietnam. Adopted by Robert & Jum Britton (American citizens). I have a copy of the adoption registry showing all pertinent info at the time i.e. mother's name, address, hospital where I was born, etc. The only other info I was told is that my birth mom may have studied nursing & possibly moved to Canada. I don't know if this is 100% accurate/truthful. My adopted mother (being Asian also)kept things a secret for many years (to save face per say). I'm interested in finding both or either biological parent & any surviving relatives. I mainly want family medical history but also in learning more of my heritage & ancestry. I was told that I look very much like my birth mother. Since the adoption took place in Japan, I have no idea on how to get started with my search. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
