I am in sarch of a birth mother or birth family. I was born on !/!2/1960. Unknown place. I was told that it was a private adoption through the Catholic church and I was born in the home of the mother of a priest. I do not know if this is true. There is no record of my adoption or birth certificate. The priest who gave me to my adoptive parents name was Father Berkery and he was the chaplin at the time at the Central Islip State hospital. I was told that my birth mother was a young woman from Central Islip but again - I don't know if it is true. No on left alive to verify facts. I may be of Irish ancestry. My adoptive parents were Paul and Frances Womack of Islip, N.Y. I was not told of my adoption while my parents were alive. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
