I am hoping to find info. on my gr.-gr.-grandfather Horatio Nelson LAIRD Sr. He was born in Belfast, IRELAND (parents unknown) on Aug. 13, 1820. He married Elizabeth WELLER (d/o Wm. & Magdaline) at Carrying Place, Ontario on June 24, 1840. They had 11 children: James Armstrong 1841-1901, Eliakem 1843-1843, Adelia(PRINGLE) 1845-1910, Wm. Charles 1848-?, Horatio Nelson Jr. 1850-1901, Thos. Hamilton 1852-1916, Reuben 1854-1902, John 1856-?, Calvin 1858-?, Sarah Eliza.(MOFFATT) 1861-1911, Fanny 1863-? all born at CP. Elizabeth was struck by lightning and killed on Mar. 1, 1868 and is buried at CP. Horatio died in Trenton, Ontario in Dec. 1884. Place of burial unknown. Any info. regarding Horatio and Elizabeth's children and their families would also be most welcome. I am more than happy to swap information.
