I am searching for my birth parents (if they're still living) or siblings or half brothers or sisters. My maiden name was Loretta Irene Jones and I was born Feb. 11, 1942 sometime between 4AM-7AM at Providence Hospital in Seattle, WA. My adoptive parents took possession of me when I was 3 days old. My adoptive parents names were: Herman Robert Jones(born 1905) and Helen Margaret (Bereiter - maiden name)Jones(born 1913), and I believe the attending physician was Dr. Weichbrodt (sp?). My aunt, Irene Bereiter was the the doctor's nurse and was the person who told my parents about an unwed mother who was apx 5months pregnant and wanted to put me up for adoption. My adoptive parents agreed to pay her room and board, doctor and hospital bills and other related expenses to the birth. I have two different versions of possible birth parents: my aunt insists that my birth father was married with children and was a professor at the Univ. of Wash., and was of scandanavian descent; and that my birth mother could have been a school teacher who was between 5'3" - 5'6" with brown hair. And my adoptive mother insists that my father was a commercial fisherman (also married) and that my birth mother possibly lived on Camano Island, and her parents disowned her upon hearing of the pregnancy.
