My father, Clyde F. Saddlemire (deceased) was the father of a female child born out of wedlock. The child was born in March 1926 or 1927 in the hospital in Endicott, New York. I have been told that the mother's surname was Gibbs and that shortly after birth, the child was adopted. There is a story that a nurse at the hospital may have adopted the child. My father was open about being the father and supported the mother during the pregnancy. It is assumed that Clyde F. Saddlemire is listed as the father of the child on the birth certificate. Records officials have refused to provide birth record information citing privacy regulations. I would like very much to find my half sister who would be about 81 years old, if still living. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
