Looking for information regarding the family of Rev. Joseph Steffens (born 7/5/1800 in Bertie, Canada, died 12/23/1881 in Carrol County, Ill.). Joseph first married Mary Ann Graham of Orange County, NY and had eght children. When Mary Ann died in 1837, he married Orrinda Miller and had another nine children. I descend from his son, George W. Steffens, born 10/13/1825 in York, Ontario, Canada. I have documentation and family history showing George in Charleston, SC in the late 1800's, but have very little else to go on. Any information regarding parents or siblings of Joseph and/or any information on George would be greatly appreciated. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
