Hazel, John E: He was the secretary of the Gort branch of the Land League, Ireland. In June 1881 he was arrested as an activist. I believe he related to my family that came from Galway. Patrick Hazell and his son Patrick F Hazel who came to the USA then returned and married in 1883 in Galway. Clippings of the arrest have been found in some of my grandfathers documents and I am now trying to see if there is a connection.
