Interested to hear from any Monaghan's/Davey's/Conway's from the Moycashel area of Co Westmeath,Ireland. My maternal grandmother was a Monaghan from Moycashel. She married a Dunican and settled just a few miles away in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath. My grandmother had Davey and Conway 1st cousins. A James Davey born c.1891 in the USA was listed as grandson of Rose Monaghan in the 1901 census for Moycashel. My grandmother was also in the same household in 1901 and listed as grandaughter of Rose. James Davey was visiting from the US. He was ten years old. I think his mothers maiden name was Mary Monaghan who married a Davey. They left for America not long after they married. I don't know where the Davey's lived in America. Would love to hear from anyone related or connected to the above. Patrick. Great grandson of James Monaghan and Mary Neil or O'Neill as it later became. My grandmothers mother was a Mary Neil or O'Neill from the Clonaslee area. Mary married James Monaghan c.1882 . | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
