looking for giles (possibly james giles) bowers, born around 1806 in north carolina and moved to south carolina by 1827, where he married rebecca lnu. was in the edgefield co. area. giles moved to georgia by 1831 and may have been in lincoln co. related families in that state are jossey, sasser, deavours, tullis. may have also been related to gills. giles disappeared from the record about 1840 and his family appeared in marion co., ga, around that time. several of his children moved to dallas co., ark., around 1868. | |||||||||||||||||||||
