My name is CJ and I am searching for my biological family. My birth name was Renee Lynn to the best of my knowledge. I do not know if Lynn is my birth last name or my middle name. I was born on or about September 12, 1969 in Rome, NY. My birthmother surrendered me to the Department of Social Serivices in November of 1969. Her legal husband, but not my biological father relinquished his parental rights to me in March of 1970. I have been told by the Department of Social Serivices that I am the yongest of five children. I do not know that anything they say is true, since it has been my experience that they lie to adoptees, birthparents and adoptive families as well. I was also told by the Dept. of Social Serivices that my birthmother is from a large family in the Rome or Camden NY area and that she was married when I was concieved. Her lover, who would be my biological father was also married and possibly in the service and stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base. It is believed that he was originally from California. I have more details, but am choosing to keep them confidential for identification purposes. If anyone out there has any information that they think may help, no matter how small or large, please contact me immediately. My adoptive father is now deceased and my adoptive mother is not in good health. My biological parents are probably up there in age as well.
