I am a birth mother. My children were taken from me in 1957 because we very poor. I got some of them back but five of them --- I have never heard from again. I am elderly and my health is failing. I want so badly to reconnect. I had contracted hepatitis when I was pregnant with the youngest one. When the baby was born, a lady offerred to keep her until I was well. When I got well and asked her to give my baby back, she offerred to adopt.. I refused and took my baby home. Soon after that the authorities came to our home and took the kids. The ones I never saw again namer are Walter Allen Jones, Helen Irene Jones, 7 yrs; Julia Lucille Jones, Mary Virginia Jones, And Shirley Jean Jones, Newborn. We lived in Crabapple, near Fairpoint, Belmont I have found out that the children were taken to Tacoma Childrens Home In Belmont County Ohio. Also that one of the girls was adopted by Thompsons and changed her first name to Rebecca. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
