Looking for data on a William Schleusner who was born in Reetz, Germany, was a cavalry man in the Prussian Army. Came to America with his sister Albertine(Schleusner)Andrae in 1855, served in the Civil War, there his name was listed as Schleisner, was wounded lived in Milwaukee Soldiers Home and died about 1878. Between 1868 and 1879 a Ferdinand Schleusner lived in Milwaukee, I believe he was related to William and visited him in Soldier's Home, WithFerdinand were two young girls or maybe daughters, named Alma and Fanny, after William Schleusner died in about 1878 I could not find any trace of Ferdinand and his two daughters.Any help out there. They came from Reetz which is near Arnswald and tend to believe the Schleusner family may of had a Military background. Thank YOu, Max Andrae Andrae27@Yahoo.com | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
