My grandfather was the Daniel Davis b) Abt. 1877 who is listed below and he was born out of wedlock to Rebeca Davis. According to video we made of my grandmother a few years ago before she passed, she says that he was born a bastard and took on his mothers last name but his father was really Cass Reasor. Still trying to locate which of the many Cass Reasors might be Daniel Sheffie Davis' father and any further information on his mothers family (again, listed below). This is all I have as proof that Rebecca Davis was his mother, other than my grandmothers recollection. Notice that they were all born in Virginia (Lee County most likely) and my great grandfather was born in KY. Any help is appreciated!
