Hello, I am searching for information about the "Hofkens" ancestors who emigrated to te U.S.A in the begin of the 20th century. My grand fathers brother "Alois Hofkens" emigrated to Anaconda/Montana. Later he returned from Belgium to Chicago Illinois, where he got his U.S.A. Passport. Is there anyone who could give me more information about him ad his descendents ? I even possesse a picture of a family Hofkens who is related to us, took in the U.S.A. around the begin of 1900. I do not know who they are. I found also some information about Joseph Hofkens who emigrated to Chicago Ill. to his brother in law Arthur Smet, and about Philomena Hofkens who emigrated with her two "Hofkens" children to her husband Baert. All my family's roots is Belgium, East Flandres, more specific : Nieuwkerken, Beveren, Haasdonk, Zwijndrecht (between Antwerp and Sint Niklaas).
