I am trying to trace my families origins back to slavery. My grest-grandfather, James Andrew Strother was born in Bridgewater, Virginia December 254, 1894 and died December 1976 in Staunton, Virgina. He married my great-grandmother Irene Strother (Downey) and had 10 children. They all lived in Staunton, VA. I cannot find anything past James Andrew Strother.
